Our Scouting For Food Drive is Postponed until later in 2020.

We will announce the new dates soon.


The Baltimore Area Council has collected food for local food banks and pantries as part of the Scouting for Food civic service

project for many years. Scouting for Food has grown into the Boy Scouts of America's largest single-day community food drive, 

collecting 45 million pounds of food donations.

How To Participate: 

 1. Unit Scouting for Food contact person registers unit by speaking to their District’s SFF Representative.

2. Units choose a geographic area in which to distribute Door Hangers (available at February Roundtable meetings.)
3. Collected food items are taken to a pre-arranged local food pantry, feeding program, or food bank.

Flyer Distribution Day: On March 21, 2020, Scouts will deliver flyers to residences. During the week, community residents will fill bags with nutritious canned goods and non-perishable items.

Food Collection Day: On March 28, 2020, the Scouts will retrieve the filled bags from residents and take them to local food banks and pantries.
