Fishing Derby
Each Spring, Four Rivers offers our Cub Scouts a balmy Saturday morning opportunity to try their hand at fishing. Whether at at State Park pond or a dock on the Chesapeake Bay, our Cubs will get the chance to bait a hook and patiently wait for a strike to reel in “the big one.” The District supplies the fishing tackle, hooks, bait, and know-how. The boys (accompanied by a parent or guardian) just need a willingness to learn the simple basics of the sport and an eagerness to make a catch. This event will also earn the Cub Scout Fishing Belt Loop or a portion of the Webelos Outdoorsman Activity Pin. If you’re an angler and enjoy sharing the sport with new fishermen, by all means come join us to lend a hand. Remember, all anglers age 16 or older will need a valid Maryland Fishing License.
This year's flyer can be found here.
If you’d like to help with this morning of fun, call the Fishing Derby Chairman, Bryce Bennie, at 443.694.3335.
