Journey to Excellence

Is the BSA's performance recognition program designed to encourage and reward success and measure the performance of units, districts, and councils. It replaces the “Quality Unit” awards.  It is meant to encourage excellence in providing a quality program at all levels of the BSA. Maintained by on-line “scorecards” a unit’s performance across a Scout year is gauged in several areas such as advancement, retention, membership, leader training, camping programs, budget, and charter renewal.  All units can also record Service Hours provided through unit service projects. Units can earn Bronze, Silver or Gold level awards.
