LOCATION: Dulaney District serves central Baltimore County. The boundaries of Dulaney District are east of Falls Road, west of US 40 (Pulaski Highway) and the Harford County Line, north of Baltimore from the City Line to the Maryland-Pennsylvania border. Dulaney District is part of the Baltimore Area Council BSA serves Baltimore City and Anne Arundel, Carroll, Baltimore, Harford, and Howard Counties.
MEMBERSHIP: There are currently 3133 youth members in Dulaney District. These Scouts enjoy Scouting activities in 46 Cub Scout Packs (boys, grades 1-5), 42 Scouts BSA Troops (boys, age 11-18), and 12 Venturing Crews (young men & women, age 14-21).
VOLUNTEER LEADERSHIP: Over 1,750 adult volunteers are a part of the various levels in the Scouting program serving Dulaney District Scouts. These adult leaders work with our members to promote the aims, methods and values of the Boy Scouts of America. More than 125 adult leaders work on the District level to provide leadership, resources and service to support the unit leader in delivering the Promise of Scouting to youth in our District. Many of our leaders also serve in leadership and service at the Council level as well.
PROFESSIONAL STAFF: Dulaney District is directly served by two full time Scouting Professionals. In addition, the Baltimore Area Council supports Dulaney District through a 45 member staff providing information, support and resources to the units.

FACILITIES: The Baltimore Area Council owns Broad Creek Memorial Scout Reservation, a 2,200 acre camp in Harford County Maryland. Broad Creek is available for both Scout and Non-Scout Groups for year round use. The Council also operates a Council Service Center in downtown Baltimore to provide resources, conduct training, distribute information, maintain records, and host meetings. A BSA National Scout Shop with a local help desk is located adjacent to the Service Center for supplies and information. Local Scout Shops also serve Harford and Anne Arundel County locations.
DISTRICT HIGHLIGHTS:
- Scouting for Food 2011: 6,851 bags collected x avg. 15 lbs./bag = 102,765 lbs. A RECORD YEAR ! We also received $550 in donations. This Good Turn was performed by 861 Youth Participants and 218 Adult Participants, and distributed food to 17 charities.
- Awarded 89 Scouts in 2010 with the Eagle Scout rank. BAC had 488 Eagles leading projects which contributed more than 106,000 service hours and $419,000 donated materials to home communities.
- 90% of adult leaders are trained
- 70% of units are recognized as National Quality Units
- “Breakfast for Business” with Governor Martin O’Malley
- Dulaney District earned the 2010 Quality District Award
